Press Corps
Agenda: Orienting delegates on journalistic roles, assigning beats for coverage, training in reporting and writing, conducting press conferences
Bhumika Howal
Chair
It is a privilege to serve as Chairperson of the Press Corps, a committee entrusted with the vital responsibility of documenting and communicating the work of the United Nations with accuracy, clarity, and integrity. My commitment is to uphold the principles of truthfulness, and ethical journalism, ensuring that every debate, discussion, and decision is faithfully represented. The Press Corps serves not only to report but to illuminate the spirit of diplomacy, dialogue, and collaboration. By adhering to these principles, we ensure that all voices are heard, every fact is verified, and our coverage reflects the values of justice, accountability, and global understanding that lie at the heart of the United Nations’ mission.
Hetaansh Trivedi
Vice Chair
Being the Vice Chair of the Press Corps, my topmost concern is to maintain transparency, truthfulness, and integrity in covering international affairs. I am committed to working hard for cooperation among member states and that the committee operates with utmost transparency and accountability. Our purpose should not only include a world vision and wide-ranging coverage but also remain firmly
based on the columns of truth, justice, and liberty. Adherence to these
principles ensures that all voices are heard, facts are authenticated, and all actions are in accordance with the ethos of justice and moral
journalism—the end result of which is the promotion of the UN's vision of peace, sustainable development, and universal human rights.
